Château LE SENS is a 17th century building, the first part of which was entirely dedicated to the production and storage of wine (vinification and aging).
In the geographical area of the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux, at the place called "SENS", in the commune of Saint Caprais.
It was built by my ancestors to facilitate a large part of the work involved in obtaining fine wines because:
- located in the middle of its vineyard
- close to a cooperage, the city of Bordeaux (19km) and the Garonne river (3km)
- has a Côtes terroir, conducive to the over-ripening of grapes. It forms clay, limestone, gravel, sand and silt depending on the location.
